anybody ever converted one of these or its big brother the Butterfly to (I know, I know) electric?

No sir, but you'll want to look at some previous threads about the POC. It's got some CG issues that you'll want to address. It seems a prime candidate for a slow flyer prop, though.

I'm in the middle of doing what you propose. A speed 400 with a 3:1 reduction and an 11x4 prop. Not done yet but getting there.

By the way, the kit is poor. The wood looked like lite ply with poor die crushing! I had to widen the fuse for the battery, fiberglassed the wing center section and increased the wood size of the tail to 3/16 from 1/8.
