Looking for 1-1/4" Spinner for 1/2A Shrike
Howdy yall,
As some of you may know, Lanier's plans calls for a 1-1/4" spinner for their 1/2A Shrike. I have already purchased the Dubro Norvel spinner. However, I really like the clean lines that the 1-1/4" spinner forms. I have searched for this size spinner to no avail - including asking Lanier (they suggested Tr-Turn). Any one out there now were I can get this tiny spinner?
Thanks!
Alex Robatto

Mpjet makes 30 and 40 mm aluminum spinners for electric and glow motors.

I have not found any of the spinners for glow motors but I imagine they are around. I have had good luck making adapter collects for the electric spinners (they use a collet). In fact I have made a handful of drive washer/collet adapters for use with Cox reed valve engines.
I can post details/dimensions of my adapter if you make use of them.

Alex,
I used the same spinner you bought on the 2 or 3 that I built for local races and they worked great. All you have to do is provide a little more balsa inside the cowel area and then sand down the front area to match the spinner you have. It narrows the front area anyway for a faster more streamlined plane. Try it. Dale

Flare has the plastic 1 1/4" spinners, I have only been able to get one. Need someone from the island to get some and offer them to us here in the U>S>A> through Ebay or somthing.
The dealers here don't respond about them, so it is a hard find.
