Default Bruce Tharpe: free plans

Well, this was another post that was deleted last night. I can't remember everything that was in the original thread, but here's two very interesting links. First one is to Bruce Tharpe's entry into our little contest that's hosted by Bipe Flyer. You know who Bruce Tharpe is, right? As Bipe pointed out in the original thread, he's responsible for several of SIG's most popular airplane kits, as well as some very popular kits in his current business.

This second link is to a wealth of small plans. Most are 1/2a, and most have enough information in the sketch for one of us to build from. 'Specially you guys with Tileprint.

Be sure to take a look at the original "Wonder"!

Bruce, if you're lurking, thanks for putting this stuff up for us to see!

Great site, I was thinking about trying the space kadet or the arrowhead II for something smaller.

So, was the database crash hardware related or malice?

That's a cool selction of plans. One of them reminded me of an old set of plans I have for a co2 Waterman Aerobile. I've always wanted to scale/engineer it for 1/2a use.

Does anybody have plans for a Waterman Aerobile that could be electric powered in a smaller size range?

It's a terrific page with great ideas, the Y Tail and the FSW Thing in particular are my favourites.

That necromancer is pretty slick. I've seen that website before some time back. There's a lot of inspiration in there.

Ditto,
Bruce, your work on pulse jet engines has been an inspiration to me for years. The RCM mag with your planes on the cover a few years back is one of those set aside issues that I read over and over.

Salute

Thanks Vicman! I remember really working hard on that article... draft after draft after draft. But I wanted it to be special, and I'm glad to know it's still remembered (at least by one guy!). For anybody that wants to check it out, it was the Feb2000 issue of RC Modeler. BTW, there's more pulsejet discussion going on in the "other" plan thread (Small plane plans at this site...)

Bruce, if you check back at this thread,,go up to the sticky on the postal plane and have it sent over to you...I think most of us 1/2a guys would like to hear your comments on it..its a blast, I have flown it.....dont fill the tank though, it flys a while on a tank,Im sure Mike would like your signature on it like we all did...I have 2 1/2a flyins every year, your welcome to come down,,,build yourself a cox reed engine race (ie.reedyracer) and join the fun this May or Sept...Rog

Bruce,
It is appreciated. Along with several others. Raymond has been kind enough to make a copy or two and send them to me since I was not around when he got them. Not that YOU are old or anything...

Flying a PJ is on my life goal list. At some point I will be able to tic it off with a smile, well in my case it's usually a smirk.

Who was the girl in the pic? She looks alot like my wife.

I can't believe that issue came out so long ago!
It seems like just yesterday..........
IIRC, MJD is working on a RC PJ project. Since it doesn't have ANY displacement, it qualifies for this forum, too!
