Default 1/2 A racing

Does anyone know the specification requirments for 1/2 A pylon racing planes?

You can find it on the AMA website if you look long enough..kind of a broad question though,,we had our 1/2a pylon (reedy) race last weekend ...it was VERY informal the only real rule we followed was that the engine be an .049 reed valve intake=Cox product or tanked version...Rog

for the UVA races, on the airplane it is 200sq" min wing and 12.5 oz min weight, engine has to be non ball brearing .061 or less. 10 lap race, over a 300 ft course, one cut costs you an extra lap to place, two cuts result in a "0" for that heat, 6 heats are flown
It is a lot of fun, and the competition is fierce. I missed today's race, had other commitments and couldnt make the drive in time. I will be there for the June race. Get hold of Mike Gordon, in Provo, I dont think that is a long distance call from Lindon. he can fill ya in

Also, the AMA rules are so out dated, we dont use them now days except for the course rules. the AMA airframe rules are waived in favor of more modern equipment.
