There's a period at the end of the link that blocks the site -- I've reset the link to his [link=http://selecthobbies.com/index.html]website[/link].

Nice site. You gotta wonder just how many of those Cox engines he's got! The only thing left on that site is a way to purchase the goods... can't wait! I always wanted a Lil Roughneck, and now I've got the engine!

av8rsodt has been telling me what a great product Mr. Adams' throttle sleeve is. I think my next purchase might be one for one of my TD .020s. Now if only someone would start selling laser-cut, no scratch that, printwood, definitely printwood re-issues of the Herb Clukey Flyline kits.
This whole demise of the great Cox era is really shaking me, though. It's sad and I actually feel a sense of loss over it. Anyway I just went to the Cox web site and bought a few more .020 heads, a TD .09 with extra heads and a few black props. That made me feel a bit better.

Vic, unless I'm mistaken, this particular airplane maidened at the end of the first fly-in I attended. He didn't have any kitted that day or he would have made an impulse sale. Now I get to see it fly again... here in good ol' south GA![&:]

Sneasle, holler when you got gas money. I'm still a looong ways away from Talladega. I do know a guy with a 69 Torino SCJ Talladega. Dang that was one beautiful car. He bought it brand new in '69! It even had the cartoon snake on the hood... till he got a little "old" and repainted the car baby blue. I still have nightmares about seeing it baby blue for the first time. You need to go to the next CC gathering! When it's time, you could drive here and ride the rest with me and Flyswatter.

Tim, all the smart, goodlooking guys are. Boy, we took this thread off course![sm=lol.gif]
I know you're lurking Skaliwag.[8D] How 'bout some info about your site? We gonna see an online shopping cart? More engines, kits, etc?

Yep, I am a-lurkin'...
I hope to have all the stuff the Big Boys have eventually.. Paypal and the credit card companies want too much cream before you can develop some volume. An Email and a check in the mail only takes a couple of extra days and can keep the price down.
May take a month or so as I still have to get a couple of major players on my side.
I'm working on more Engines, Kits and nickie nacks that we 1/2 A'ers like and need.
Proberbly not any Ford, MOPAR or GM stuff though.

Since we're already off topic, I had a college buddy who drove an early 70s torino with a factory 429CJ. It was quick. My personal hottest ford early 70s 429-4V in a 56 F-100. Looked rough, handled rough, ran like a scared rabbit. Thats one I wouldn't mind still having. I think my fastest Chevy was actually an Oldsmobile.

RE: CHECK OUT NEW 1/2A WEBSITE
hahaha.. nice..
my girlfriends step dad has 3 old camaro's sitting in his shop that are gathering rust.. just waiting to be sandblasted and rebuilt.... 3 different camaros, 3 different years, 3 distinctly different styles...
he also has an old MG that was at one time his dad's car.. damn that thing is tiny.. complete with wood floor boards and handcrank start.. well.. the wood is falling out.. so is alot of the rest of the car.. but the original wheels are still in salvagable condidtion! take about 20k to fix her up he thinks... so maybe one of these days after i get out of college and have some spare cash... would be a nice buzzing around town car.

OK, let me brag a bit on my other hobby! Not quite 1/2A but something to carry those 1/2A models in. In true vintage style I have one of these at the house. Belonged to my passed Father-in law and inherited by my wife. Not quite as clean as this one is yet, but ours has 57,000 original miles and 99.99% there. He drove it everyday before he died. Same color and style but ours has black interior. I have been playing with it lately between model building!! Hope to have her back driving soon!! Maybe by the next Carolina 1/2A Crew Fly-in!!!

Yep.... it is my site but when I went to 'Kindi' I learnt to share.
Never really have been a "Big Block" man. In my younger days in the UK my mechanical delight, apart from being a 1/2 A diesel, were Jags and TR's.

I outgrew musclecars after my flat-black 69 Dodge Charger. 8 tickets in 14 days!
Have an AH3000 and a Morgan Plus 4 nowadays, plus quite a few others in my family...a real brit car family. Father drives a 73XKE ragtop as a daily driver, one owner since new. He's got over 118k on the clock, last I looked, pretty incredible for a 12 cylinder headache. Mind you, his mechanic probably put three kids through college on that one car alone....
