I think this is a .08cc Northern Velocity (Later known as NORVEL) in original bubble wrap pack.

I just looked back through my old "KIT LIST" sheets and found a June of 1996 List where I had VA MKIs for sale, but no Norvels.

A July 1997 List had Norvels and no VAs.

As I recall the Norvels may have been available before I started selling them, but in any event, they were around in '97.

Those were AME .049s and .061s. The .074s came along later.

The engine listed in your link is a .049 ciengine hence the .8cc, the Norvel .061 is 1.0cc. The guy on eBay for claiming to be a big wig engine guy has no idea what he is saying and listing it as .08 is wrong. For what it's worth my Norvel .061 has 1.0 cast into the side of crankcse.

Thanks for the info. I was not sure what it was as I only have Cox engines, will use them as long as I can.

So, the Norvels were made around 8-9 years then. Hope they will return for those who like & use them. The only reason I linked the Ebay engine was his good rating, otherwise would not have bothered.

What about the alternates for the .074, any around?
