Default Excellent little trainer ARF on sale!

Hey all, I'm not sure if anyone really cares, but Hobby People has got the little School Boy arf on sale for only $49. I taught myself how to fly on this and absolutley love it. I have mine powered with an AP .09 and it does great. They quit selling the ARF about two or three years ago so I'm thinking this might be some sort of special production run. I actually bought two spares off of fleebay this past year because I wanted to make sure I'd always have one.

Dave, Good Evening,

What is the wing sapn and weight? I don't have an .09 and would like to use a .15 to avoid the pleasure of buying another engine.

From what I remember hearing about it years back, it was supposed to be a decent little plane - essentially it's a powered glider. Don't remember the spec on it. I think they offered it with an AP .09 Hornet for power, but not 100% sure.

Okay the link takes me to a plane but the link there doesnt work... a school boy is only 34" WS for a .010 to .020 engine,,,I'd go with the piece o cake for that one ...09-.15? that sounds big too...Rog

Okay, I pulled one of my boxes out of the closet. The specs are as follows:

Length.....34.63 inches
Span........50 inches
Area.........325 sq inches
Weight......30-36 ounces
Engine...... .09-.15
Radio.........3 channes

Flies great on an AP .09

Cheers,

Dave

I think a Sig LT-40 is the best trainer, this looks like it would really make a nice 1/2a trainer though. I like trainers to be large enough that the wind doesn't overpower them, these bounce better than the bigger ones though.

IS THAT WHY YOU'RE CALLED HOLLER? Sorry, I can't resist open doors.

Try Global, they list the parts, anyway:

Order yourself a Magnum .15 carb, it will fit right in to your AP engine and is a much better 'two needle' carburetor at the same $$low$$ price.
