RE: Ball joint tool where?
treedog,
Don't worry, you not the only one who can't find a reset tool. If you find some, let me know as I've been needing one for a while.

Once you locate a tool (Davis or otherwise), here's how to use it.
Remove the piston/conrod from the engine and place it in the base. If your setup does not have a base, use a smooth HARD surface.
Place the tool to the socket (The tool should have a slit to provide clearance for the conrod).
Tap the tool, rotate tool on the socket a quarter turn, tap again. Do this until the socket does not have excessive play.
Don't make the fit too tight, it still has to rotate freely or the engine won't run.
Make sure before you start that the base is sitting on a heavy hard surface. If the base is sitting on a soft surface, sometimes the socket will not absorb the force but just distribute it to whatever the base is sitting on. This is important.
Good luck
