Default Which side of CoverLite to apply Balsarite

After a couple of decades of flying giant scale models, I decided to build a 1/2A model, and am covering the fuselage with CoverLite. Which side of the material is the Balsarite applied? My gut feeling tells me to apply it on the non-plastic (shiny) side. I read instructions several times, and it is not clear. I have a couple of coats of Balsarite on the fuselage , but I am uncertain on the Coverlite. (I will cover the wing with Monokote)
Thanks,
Cajuncharley

If it's on the fuselage already then just iron on the covering. You don't need to put it on both. You will have to brush a little under the edges where the material overlaps but that's done with a fine tipped brush and then allow it to dry and iron as normal. Excess can be wiped up with a little dope thinner and elbow grease. Just use a lightly dampened paper towel, you just wnat the stuff that shows. Too wet and you risk dissolving the Balsarite under the edge.

And in case you're still wondering I'd use the shiny side out.

Default sides

It does not matter which side you use. one side is flat for a more scale like finish. The other glossy for plastic like or painted look.
