So, I finally got to fly Grace today. The weather was great and I still had her, so I figured it was probably going to be my only chance.

She flew pretty darn good. It was fun to fly a little plane again. I have been flying pretty much 40-60 size planes lately, so the ability to fly in a small field again was great. I only was able to get one flight in as dinner and darkness were coming in.

I should hopefully get her shipped off to the next person now. I have kind of been procrastinating getting her packed up again since I still wanted to fly her, and now I am glad I waited. I will post again once I have been able to get her shipped.

Great little plane guys!!!

I know things can get hectic, but I thought we were shooting for a week turnaround time. If everyone keeps her for 3 months, it's gonna be a long wait

OK, she is finally on her way to sdg666. He had replied to me quite a while ago about wanting her and nobody else replied until about a week or so ago, so that is where she is off to.

Hopefully everybody else will enjoy her too!!

Hmm, once someone with 666 in his name handles her, I'd strap on one of those plastic dashboard Jesus's to even things out for the next few flights.

CombatPigg, it's not clever to pretend that because I have an 666 in my name that I'll destroy GRACE, I kow what I do! I won't send her to her creator hahaha

Flybug, ask dieFluggeister to add you in the duty rooster

I sent diefluggeister tons of PMs and request from his web site to no avail; I believe he is MIA and/or forgot about GRACE Most likely just very busy with life, it happens.

Either way works for me. At the rate she's getting passed around, you might be able to give it to me in person the first weekend in June!

Ahh I missed out on her.

I saw a few months ago that you were on the list to recieve her, and I figured that I would try to drop down and see her. But as happens so often life stepped in and hosed me one more time and it looks like I missed out on it. [&o] and Scappoose is just right down the road too.

I am all for getting grace for a litle while. I have no intention of keeping her for very long. I will more than likely get her in and out within a week. Once you are done with Grace just shoot me a Private message and I will get you my address. After tha I will send her to Gravity. I won't be making it to SPADFest this year Gravity so I will have to send her to you.

Who's on first?

Joking aside... who has possession of GRACE at the moment? I don't think it's fair to those waiting their turn to hold onto GRACE for more than two weeks at most. I say if you can't commit to turning her around and keeping things moving, then don't sign up. This is a respnsibility that we all must share, and with or without Mike (diefluggeister), things should still progress smoothly (I hope we're all mature enough to find a way to make that happen).

In theory, since I've had my turn, I shouldn't really care, but that's not my style. I think this is a wonderful idea and it's disappointing to see the project slow to a halt. At one point the project was rolling right along, but now????

I agree PBJ!
As someone with almost as much skin in the game as Mike, I'm a little disappointed at some who are hot to trot for a while in the forum and then don't remember the commitment part.

Whoever has it move on already, it's good weather all around the country no more weather and lamer excuses!

I loaned that guy in Scapoose a Cyclon recently, too.

If the plane got shipped to Canada, it could have been impounded, lost, smashed, stolen or just stuffed in a corner somewhere. Our winos, misfits and social castoffs hang out under bridges and in city parks, theirs' work for the Postal Service and at the border crossings.

Ouch. Glad I don't work at the post office. The only times I've had stuff held up at the border is when the sender didn't fill out the customs declaration correctly.

Well........I was kind of joking about Her Majesty's postal workers being nothing but derelects and bums. Some of our own [who found ways to make headlines in the world news] have set the bar pretty low already. If Grace isn't actually hung up in the postal system between Scapoose and QC, she's probably laying face down in some muddy farmer's field and that guy that had her last didn't want to fess up?

Yeah, this does really suck. When I signed up, I was hoping to get a chance to fly GRACE before it got too cold - last year. Now I'm wondering if I'll see her this year.

Hindsight being 20/20, if I were to organize something like this, I'd need a current phone number of everyone who wanted to play along. That way there'd be no excuse of not checking the board, and it'd be alot easier to nag someone who was keeping her more than a week.

SDG666, did you ever receive GRACE?
