Default register or submit an article

Got the site registration feature up and going, but there's not much to see yet. You can watch me get new modules online and be ahead of the rest. Sounds kinda like watching the paint dry to me, though! One thing you CAN do is to submit an article. It doesn't have to be long, just a nice how-to that you think could help your fellow modellers. At this point, you can submit it to me in html or rich text format. Microsoft Word may be ok, but I use OpenOffice. Haven't found a compatibility problem yet, but who knows? Anyway, check out the articles page for an idea of the new format and what size container you have to fill. There's even a link to a FAQ for submission guidelines. If you have a question (or advice) for the FAQ, there's a place to submit it. PM me for an email address to submit your article.

There ya go. Write an article, submit it and become rich and famous.

Sorry, BA. It's www.ulmer-rc.com

Vic, this is what I've always wanted my site to be. If everything turns out right, it should be interesting. I doubt seriously that it'll bring in enough $ to pay for itself, but sometimes it's just about doing something bigger than yourself. Guess I might be a "challenge junkie".

The repository module is up and running, but there are still a few bugs. The big one is I can't figure out how to approve the new uploads!

Well, I went ahead and uploaded the AP .061 6-view pdf file. The 3D model will have to wait until I get home this weekend.

Got it! It shows up right there on the dashboard. When you click it, it expands below. There are still a few issues with the color scheme, but nothing terrible. We'll call this one ready for use.

HAH! Online article building is now available! You can also include a .pdf for download. Aside from the gallery, all I need is to write an article or two to start it off and toss some of my untested plans up.

oh yeah, finish the links page and start up the banner service.... what else did I forget?

MJD, that's exactly what the repository is for. It also allows you to update your own files as you make progress. Just a note here, but repository files need to be zipped. Everything that you want to share goes in one file. I didn't set it up to take CAD extensions because sometimes they are large files. Trying to keep it dial-up friendly.

Tim, that's one h*** of an article! Thanks for sharing it.

Oops, I've messed up the download pages. Got to restructure the file system. The articles page and the repository are still working fine.

Nope, you did everything right. I just hadn't set up the columns yet. They're there now.
