Kamdax DF Complete Unit???
Hello Gang!
I dropped my Mig & busted it up pretty good,
so I have robbed it out to use the DF for a new
project. I broke the DF shroud too. Where can
I get another one?
Thanks in advance!

This is the US distributor for Kamdax. He used to have a big ad in this forum and even posted a few times. Real nice guy.

RE: Kamdax DF Shroud
He guys,
Keith's web site has not been updated since last year
& I don't find a phone number.
I have sent e-mails & have had no responses.
I did contact Kamdax in Hong Kong, but I'm nervous
sending them my credit card number, although they
have been very pleasant & responsive.
I would be interested in buying a complete Mig
from someone, but prefer to buy a DF unit for the
extra parts from a crashed one, maybe.
Please let me know!

Johnny C!,
I got your PM, but I can only post 1 picture in a PM, so I'll post the pictures of the fan unit here.
The unit is in good shape with no cracks. There is some wear on the front of a couple of the fan blades, which I only just noticed now. I don't know how it happened - maybe they rubbed against the starter one time. The hole in the original aluminum hub was drilled off centre, so I made a new one on my lathe. Other than cleaning off a little dirt that accumulated on the last "landing" it is good to go.

RE: Kamdax DF Complete Unit???
This is kinda off the topic, but where can a I buy a Kamdax mig? I would prefer to order from the US instead of trusting that it make the leap across the pond.

LaBam,
These were readily available from
Tower about a year ago. They have discontinued
them since then. stuffwelike.com is a US distributor,
but I have had no luck contacting them. You can
contact Sidney at Kamdax here, [email protected].
He is in Hong Kong, but if you really want one, he
could ship it to you, I'm sure. I would inquire here
on the boards & in the Buy & Sell area. Also do a
search here in the 1/2A forum to read up on performance
and problems. They flew amazingly well to be such a
simple styrofoam structure, but they are a little fragile.
They are not for a beginner!
Good Luck!
