A Decent 4 channel Aircraft Radio, 3 or 4 9or 10g micro servers Cheap
I found a fairly cheap way to score a decent 4 channel radio and reciever, lipo battery, charger, speed control, brushless motor, and 3 or 4, 9 or 10g mini servos, and a cheap little plane to thrash holes in sky, so you can pull the gear out. for less then 90 bucks.

The radio looks like a Futaba Skysport 4. It even comes safely packed in foam that's shaped like a plane.
Has the term "3D" simply become synonym for airplane? I mean, look at the stuff they're calling 3D.

LOL i Guess so Bipe, I guess if it can do a roll its 3d.......=-P
Still thought the Decent radio and the micro servos are worth it.. $80,Moth looks fun for a while.. I think im going to buy one.
I could see the Cessna being 2d, but by no mean 3d... THey even state that the Cessna is capable "of mile Aerobatics".

I like that! Anyone think that a 1976 OS.10FSR would power that plane??? Estimated FLight weight of 1 1/2lbs....plus 3 or 4 Futaba standard servos? couldnt be more than 2lbs. My Obese Cub will probably be slightly over 2lbs. This .10 will pull that.
The Cessna Skyline is one of my favorite little 4 passenger planes

It may move in 3 dimensions, but only 2 dimensions at any one time.

GOtta admit that $90 for all that is a pretty darned good deal. Not sure what the Rx is or if it's any good and it would likely benifit from a Lipo transplant but it's still a pretty decent price for the rest of the stuff.

The radio looks like a Skysport 4, but do you think it's a real Futaba? I couldn't find the word Futaba anywhere on the page. I wonder if it is a knockoff.
I like this part of the description:
"Perfect appearance and emulation (Scale appearance, great attention has been given to details)"

Around the 5th i will end up buying eather the Cessna or the 3d Tigermoth with the radio. when I end up with one of the two i will let ya know. That Cessna yells at me. Just hope a .10 will pull it. I could use the Radio system that comes with the Tigermoth though.
That description is alittle jumbled..I dont think they are a US site. I would think they ship from the US though.

They say that they're in LA, but judging by the grammar on the website...
This is the Futaba model I was thinking of.

This would not be the first time a cheap clone of an already inexpensive product has crept into light!
Another thing is that what you see in the picture is not always what you will see when you open your box when you get yours. Case in point this pretty Pitts:
http://www.raidentech.com/4pisprtfelra.html
As cvan be plainly seen in just about every photo of this model on the website shows that the top and bottom wing have ailerons. This thread discusses the fact that wheb you get it home, only the bottom wing has them and what the seller says about it:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...tts+raidentech.
What you see is often what you get but of course in reality is sometimes not so...

I was going to say, these models look a lot like the ones sold by raidentech, nitroplanes, ak-model, and a few others. They all look very similar, and seem to have the same lineup of models available.
Don't get me started on the whole 2-D/3-D/4-D thing. Whoever came up with the term 3-D to describe extreme freestyle aerobatics should be horsewhipped. Anytime a plane is flying, unless perfectly straight and level with no change in heading or altitude IT IS 3-D!!! And fitting a variable pitch prop does not make your plane travel through time any differently than without; therefore it is NOT 4-D!

I totally agree. All flying is 3D except for the Delorean in Back to the Future, which is 4D. What's next, a plane that can fly from side to side like a helicopter and called 5D? Maybe it can go under water - 6D! Maybe "D" doesn't stand for "dimensions".

Aren't the electric guys calling the reversing pitch props that make the model backup tail first 4D?

Yes, that's what we're poking fun at. It makes no sense.
