Default Dare Oriole .020

Well I just got my Dare Oriole .020 done and took the first flight. I had a Cox .020 Pee Wee engine on it. It came to 8.2 oz. The engine would barely keep it off the ground. I tried some 40% nitro fuel and got it to the point that it would climb some, but it was always on the edge of stalling.

I did not like the set up, so I installed a Black Widow .049 on it. Wow, it had too much speed. I was afraid that I would get some flutter or rip the wing off.

I then purchased a Baby Bee with a large tank and installed it. It turned out to be a real pleasure to fly. Nice loops and rolls. Plenty of power with a 6x2 prop at 10.3 oz.

On to building a .15 size Half-Wit.[img][/img]
