RE: AP Engines
I have 2 wasps that I'm pretty happy with so far after about a hour each on the bench. I have the .15 also and it "feels" nice flipping over in my hands, But I have yet to run it. It has about 3/4 of a shrike 10 built around it right now, So I should know soon! Todd

RE: AP Engines
Far as I can tell, they make great sinkers for fishing. I've yet to see one run well enough to fly an airplane. (in person, anyway) There are plenty reports here on the forum of having success with them, but my impression is that the Cox Surestart is equal in power and you can buy a handful for the price of the AP .061.

RE: AP Engines
Nope, the Surestart is MORE powerful than the single AP .15 I've seen.(really) In that size range I'd probably go for the OS .15la or similar. But my comparison was the Wasp vs SS.

RE: AP Engines
I have a wasp and I like it. I have it on a q-tee and it flies good. I used to have a tee dee .049 and I think the wasp has about the same power. It is hard to tell because the tee dee mades a lot more noise and higher rpm's. But the plane flies good with plenty of speed. I'm quite sure it is faster than a sure start which I have on another q-tee plane. After buying the first wasp, I liked it so well I bought 3 more which are setting on the shelf. Whats nice is it is quieter and has a throttle. It does idle pretty good also. I will say it does start better than a tee dee or sure start. Just my 2 cents. Terry
