Hey Rog,
Have you announced which field is on for the 29th?
Is it that nice one on top of the little hill with plenty of land around it (where rumors of interference are hooey)?
Or is it the one in the bottomland with swamp on two sides (where critters slither around your legs)?
For myself I have no preference of course.
If things work out (and my wife goes to visit her sister) I might have a new 'Face to test.
But the word on the street is that there will be a really "big" new plane making its debut there. Anyone (you know who) care to provide the build-up?

RE: Hey Rog,
Rog, reach back into the caverns of your mind and you'll find what Vic is talking about. Well, I know there's probably a lot of weird stuff and cobwebs tucked away in there but squint your eyes and strain. Here's a hint; think snow, cold, brrr.
Is there going to be a prize for the person who lands closest to the host this time?
Are we really gonna have reedies and "unlimited"?
Are diesels unlimited? Hey Bailey, will you help me with the compression?
I'll bring the sodas. Will there be gourmet fude?

RE: Hey Rog,
how do you get to copperhead field? I am hopeful I just might be able to make it to the fly in, things are looking pretty good for my retirement.

RE: Hey Rog,
Rog, whatever you work out for prize distribution, raffles, whatever is okey dokey - just so laong as we have lotsa racing heats. And that famous gourmet fude of course.
And we also have to work out something special to do justice to the initiation of "big" plane.

RE: Hey Rog,
I'm sorry Rog. I didn't mean to insult you with my "caverns of your mind" crack. I was trying to quote the song. I know its been a long time since we've heard about Grace and I'm figuring we will all get our hands on her - heh, heh, heh.

RE: Hey Rog,
I decided to post this here, in the most recent thing related kinda to Rog's event on the 28th, because I thought the C 1/2A Cers would be more likely to see/read it - and it doesn't rate a new subject.
Since I subscribe to Flying Models (and have for decades) I was among the many who were impressed with Dave's Sure Shark design (of course) and the article too (very thorough and well done). So even though I already had a kit from Dave (no I haven't) I ordered a set of plans just as a gesture of support (I guess). Well, I have to report that they just arrived in today's post.
The good news is that the plans are really, really nice. Thanks Dave and I will really, you know, some day soon, but not in time for the 29th.
(Sheetface has a new engine. Just thought I'd warn youse all.)

RE: Hey Rog,
Alas Stewart, they won't let me use my Cubs - but a friend gave me a brand new Black Widow that I'm gonna start breaking in tomorrow. Frankly, it feels "looser" than any new Cox engine that I can remember. I don't know if that's good or bad.
But I'd not feel too bad if I had to fall back to the pretty engine I got from Tim.

No problem Raymond, I have neighbors that I dont remember their names...if I recall some incident of the past it's usually a bad thing I have done...traits of ADD...my dad once told me he was sorry that he waited so long to have kids...he was 40 when I was born...I told him I had a great childhood and I'm still livin it...I am a 12 year old that can drive and buy beer, I can do anything I can afford..and play in the creek till dark(caught a water snake sunday morning)....and I was bulletproof right up until the motorcycle accident that took about 25% of my left kneecap..at this point I'll confess I dont know what the hell ya'll are talkin about, is GRACE coming to the flyin.(and its rude not to tell me)..TJ I'll post directions, Copperhead is about 18 miles closer than the Snow Camp field it's about 4 miles off I-85/40,and 2 turns....Rog
