Default Flyin' Dudes

Hi,

Our Club had a tune up day today at the sod farm where we hold our races. Intent here is to give the racers a chance to get their planes ready for the season's first race coming up next saturday.

The eye on my camera caught two of RCU's budding racers working on getting airborne. On the left and pilot of the cool flying delta is "Skimmer" "Hummve" is there with an assist.

Airplane is a local kit called "Vertigo". Power is Norvel. Airplane is a very stable flyer, goes pretty good too. Weight according to Skimmer is 10.5 oz. Good job guys, see ya at the races..... Jeff

P.S. Pic really is there, just click on full size. having trouble getting my pics to show up on the post. Any idea's? Thnx..

Default details

Mike,

These guys showed up about the same time Darrel left. I hung around for a while to see their plane fly. They had three or four flights, the wind had fallen off to nothing.

It seems our buddy Mel has been inspired by this post and possibly warmer weather. His thumbs are most likely itchin'.... O.K. Toadster, come on down next sat at ten and well have some fun.... For those that don't know this, Toad drives over 100 miles one way to come to our races. How's that for dedication?
