Default cox glow plug question

Hi,
I have a couple of cox glow plug head (.049) whose filament a lot different from what I am used to. Instead of a coiled filament, it appears to be like letter "M". Any info is much appreciated.

Default cox glow plug question

I believe that is a very old glow head. I have one on a cox engine that is over thirty years old. The thing thing still works but does not glow as brightly as the new ones on the same current. That might be why it still works. They just don't make stuff like they used to. They burn out quicker so you have to buy another one. At around $8 or so, that can be quite profitable.
