Bloody show-off!
Y' know I (yes me) could do every one of those maneuvers (one per flight - between repairs). So there. Well, maybe not even then.
And that Jurgen fella has recorded a bunch of neat stuff - over there.

RE: Got 2.5 minutes?
Anybody know how he rigged the streamer drop? I doubt if he used a separate servo giving how weight conscious people at level are. I just thought it would be cool if I could trail streamers of my wing tips and drop them right before I crash into something. Kinda like mis-direction that magicians use. "Hey look at this (drop) . . . crash".

That's definetly up there with the abilities shown in the RCU Indoor Aerobatics comp from a year or two back. I wonder if there'll be another one of those?
The guys that get me are the heli pilots that whirl and toss the models all over the sky while flipping upside down then flying backwards and pirouetts and all the thrust reversals and yet manage to keep it all together. There isn't enough coffee on the planet to make my reflexes that fast.....

I am not even sure you can call some of that stuff they do flight... Except that the copter hardly ever touches the ground.
Just go to youtube and do a search on Alan Szabo. That guy is nothing short of amazing!

What is really amazing to me is the model. I got into RC in the early 90's when indoor flight was a pipe dream. Then we started to play with magnetic actuators on Peanut scale type models, then graduated on to proportional electric actuators. Costs came down, weights came down, batteries got one heck of a lot better, motors became cheap AND good, and then one day you turn on your computer and see a guy flying a .25 glow sized airplane in a basketball court!
A few years ago we used to say that indoor RC was basically at the same stage as outdoor RC was in the 60's. I think indoor has closed the gap.

RE: Got 2.5 minutes?
Can you even imagine what people with this kind of talent will be doing in five years? Blows my mind. It wasn't long ago that I was amazed at what I could do with a Pizza Box Flyer and a .25. Now I can do way more with a buck and a half worth of FFF and cheap - real cheap - electric setup.
Yep it blows my mind. Why any day now I expect . . . babble, babble, blah, blah, drool, sputter, . . . and so on.

[link=http://www.rc-fliegerfilme.de/flash/wallhalla2.htm]Here's another[/link] creative video. The first model and the last model in the video really showcase some innovation.

Andrew!!
Gutt Himmel (whatever)! Thank you so much for finding and sharing that video!
Gosh-a rootie I wish I had 1/10th that much creativity (OK I'd settle for 1/100th).
I wish I could save that and watch it again in two or three years when that is commonplace and these guys are doing even more amazing stuff.

RE: Got 2.5 minutes?
Whoa Nelly! I want all that Das Fleugel stuff! I want the little flying cars and trucks. I want that incredible dragon. I want those glow-powered car/trucks. I particularly want the das mini flugen waffen whatever that they were launching with the liddle catapults! Where do I send my PayPal bucks? Isn't there a Graupner outlet in el Norte Amerigo? And if I can't have that, would someone please teach me . . . oh, never mind.
(Was that a TD on one of those indoor jobs? Twang . . . zzzzzip . . . thud, oh there's another one of those things sticking in my chest.) Yes, Yes, I know. It's two very different worlds for the small bird lover now? That's just peachy 'cuz I loves 'em both. Bring me more!

Some of those moves I did the other day (without trying) trying to trim out a new plane and motor on the first flight. This person is good.
