Flew my first 1/2A of the new year how about you?
Title pretty much says it. Yesterday, the 6th, I snuck out of the house for a few hours while my wife was running errands with our daughter and I took my simple series T-6 with me. The little Norvel ran beautifully and attracted attention as usual, and the weather conditions were great for January--50°F, overcast, and calm. I got three flights in before the sun disappeared, and boy did it feel nice to be flying in January. How about you?

Well... I was fortunate enough to be the one to fly Grace (Postal Plane Project) on New Years Day and got four or five nice (windy) flights in.
This past Saturday, I flew my SureShark and DNU for about six flights each. I wish I could say it was warm, but it was 22°F when I went out! Then... I had the SureShark out again on Sunday morning - a little warmer at 32°F. (Sunday evening I took one of my leckies out, but those don't count, right?)
Didn't get home from work in time today to enjoy the 71°F afternoon! [>:] (Rare for this time of year in MD.)
I try not to let a week get by without burning some nitro!

hey congratulations flying in jaunary have an Ace Pacer I've finally got flight ready and I can not WAIT to maiden her.. im hoping tomorrow.. heres some pictures yall and btw do you think the rubberband idea on the wing will be strong? I dont know how else to hold it on as there is no threads to put a wing bolt on it, I was thinking about maybe epoxying a nut in these predrilled holes in the fuselage and then puting a bolt through the predrilled holes on the wing and hold it like that.. gotta figure it out before I maiden it though.. thanks for any replies!

I got out with my 12 year old Gentle Lady that has a black widow on the nose and landing gear to keep the motor out of the dirt.

Good to hear everybody's getting some air time! I'm going to stuff a plane in the trunk before heading to work tomorrow--this weather's too nice to waste.
Luna, congrats on getting your niece interested in CL; I hope my daughter shows an interest in r/c in a few years.
Chevy, nice looking pacer--let us know how the maiden went.

I attatched some pictures for yall to hopefully help me out.. can yall maybe edit this picture and draw in circles to show me exactly where to put the dowels to have the strongest hold for my rubberbands to hold the wing on? Yep, flew once at noon on Tuesday, the winds were very gusty. First flight of the year, 4th flight season on that plane.
chevypower1930;
About 3/4" above the leading/trailing edge cutout, right above , or 1/4" forward of L.E. & T.E.
A bit of warning , the balsa if not reinforced can split from the bands, I would use a set of small 1/32" plywood plates glued to the inner fuse sides, when dry drill your dowl holes.

Well Sunday was a beautiful day, so I had to hop on my scooter and run to work to check on the one guy who was actually supposed to be there....he wasnt,, so I spent an hour cleaning up the mess he was supposed to,,then back on the scoot (Honda Reflex) for a few hours of blastin around..I almost got one of my leckys out to take to the schoolyard, but had to stop and have a fight with my girlfriend (Hagatha) and then drink a beer or 2...Its a terrible thing to have to divide your time between rc and scootin....Rog

On New Year's Day I flew my 60" Goodie with a PAW .061, and a 57" Scooter with a TT GP.07. First flight of the Scooter the fog was still only 100 feet up, and I had to be careful not to let it get too high! A little chilly, but a great way to start the year.
