Default Norvel plug on COX

I know some might consider this the ultimate indignity, but has anyone tried a Norvel head and plug on a COX engine? The Norvel plugs are less expensive than the COX heads.

Yup, I tried a Norvel plug but found that the power output dropped unless I added 15% Vodka to the fuel mix.
