R/C Kits that require a .049 engine?????
Welcome Tumbleweed,
Lynn S. has the right idea, Ace R/C makes a good number of kit's that will work with the Cox .049's. They also have a pretty good selection of them. There are a few that are trainer style, the Alpha, the Whizard and the Grasshopper, and then they have a series of small 1/2a RC planes called the Simple series. There are Mustangs, Messerschmitts, Ultimates, Extra's, you know, sport planes.
Also, Herr sells a line of really nice small planes, a Cub, a P-51, a really nice Cessna and they also have a trainer style plane called the Cloud Dancer,
For the Ace ones, the Quantum Models site that Lynn posted is great, for the Herr models check out
www.iflyherr.com
Mavericman posted the Tower Hobbies site, there you can find the Dynaflite Piece 'O Cake, which is a powered glider that calls specifically for the Black Widow. Tower also has a few of the Herr kits and the House of Balsa P-51 and ME 109, both .049 powered.
They are around, you just kind of have to dig through all of the .40 sized ARF's that clutter everything up these days.
A local to this forum has a great site and sells a few really amazing planes. Right now they are only short kits but I can't imagine it will be long before he get's to go in to production with them. His name here is Bipe Flyer, you can drop him a line and talk more about it, he's a nice guy and his designs are top notch.
You can check his stuff out at

Hope this helps, and stick around, this is a great place to hear about the little planes.

R/C Kits that require a .049 engine?????
Thanks alot fellas. Got a question on the ACE simple series. I was bidding on some of them on Ebay and the guy wants like 50 bucks per set. I won the Mustang and Corsair. Is this too much to pay for these kits????
Thanks again for all the advise on the subject. Really helped alot.
