Default Ace Simple vs Herr

In general opinion wich line of kits flys better.
I know the ace kits build easy.
I do have an Ace simple 400 im working on now.
Next I would like to try a scale kit.
I have been looking at both lines and wonder wich ones fly best.

Default Scale

I believe Herr is closer to scale, also their laser cutting is good. Most people think they fly great, although some mods are neccesary for exeptional performance, for instance the pitts special rolls much better with ailerons on both wings.

The Herr kits cost twice as much as the ACE Simple series kits. You get what you pay for.

Default Ace Simple vs Herr

Yeah I think ill be picking up a couple of the Herr kits next week at the local hobby shop. Im thinking about grabbing a Herr Cub and a Pitts. Has anyone found aftermarket glass to replace the ABS in the Pitts kit or am I gonna have to plug mould or vacuform my own. I thinking vacuforming some may be lighter.

Default Herr Kits

There is no question but that the Herr kits are superior to the Ace kits. Ace kits are OK, but you can't beat the quality of the Herr kits. I built a Cherokee with an .074 Norvel and it is a blast. It is a little heavier than I would like at 25 ounces, but it has ailerons and 4 servos. I painted the fuse with fuelproof paint as I am suing 30% nitro. Can do touch and goes all day on our grass runway. Like all 1/2 A models, it is a little flimsy. You can break spars, etc., when handling, so be careful.
