Ya'll knock this off, I'm on my 3rd beer....never lost power, but I tend to pull up when anything goes wrong(Bsarge pointed this out to me and he's right), and I have lost more than one plane pulling up when inverted.....and I also look like I'm fly fishing while all this is going on........Rog

I've harped about this before, because I've done it to myself when I knew better. If you fly a plane inverted with perfectly neutral trim [meaning with no thumb pressure maintained for level flight], it is easier to forget which way to move the stick when the time counts. If you fly inverted with some forward pressure on the stick, I think that is a built in reminder for "which way is up". Practice each flight with an equal amount of right side up and inverted flight [up high] and it will eventually get burned into those brain cells. It might take many, many flights. Once you think that it has become second nature, then trim the model out for a neutral stick both ways and go enter the limbo contest.

There's a lot of research that's been done on that -- the simplest explanation can be found in the recognition of the shapes of familiar words. That's why it is easier to read text in Caps and Lower Case or just in lower case than in ALL UPPERCASE.

Anyone else ever had a plane that flew the same way right side up as upside down? I had built a few Aerocraft Snappers, and the third one flew perfectly level when upside down. Can't explain it other than the various trim factors and a bigger prop (this one was leccy powered).

Hots with a piped Fox .45.Point and forget.Ultimately
that is what happened. My limited skills require me to
trim like Mr. Pigg says.A little reminder.

Howdie gents, DeviousDave, Yes, Rattel came out that way. Flys the same ether way. Most of the time its a balence thing. if it takes trim to fly level then she will not hold true inverted.Aoa comes into play to. A well balenced plane is a joy to fly ether way. And a fully symmterical airfoil helps to. hkbii.

Indeed you are so right about the practice and many flights to fight the natural (for me) urge to simply yank back on the stick.
