Default Hyper Speed .049s

I've been seeing some parts on the "Bay" from someone named Jon Valentine. I can't seem to find a website or manufactury address. I know about Hypercolor, but where is Hyperspeed?

These are from the father and son team of Ronald and Jon Valentine-collectively they specialise in aftermarket Cox stuff-including diesel conversions, and restored and repro German Taifun engines plus a range of miniature single two and three cylinder diesels. To the best of my knowledge they do not have a website or any other outlet. They used to trade on Ebay as 'wisolme' but that trading alias is no longer a listed Ebay member. Ronald Valentine was a protege of Hans Hornlein, who was the Taifun manufacturer-and then in the 80's made the Profi series [the German Profi's not the Russian ones....]

FWIW, I've been running a Hyperspeed turbo plug head on a Black Widow 049 with great success for several months. Also using his standard plug head on my Medallion .09 in order to conserve the use of my Cox heads. I've heard bad things about the "character" of Mr. Valentine but his products are working fine for me so far. He seems to have copied some of Tim Wiltse's engine ideas. I would have preferred to buy from Hypercolor at the time, but Tim's been missing in action for some time and I didn't know of another source. Good luck.

Mecoa makes a pair of heads for the 049/051. One is red, for long reach plugs, and a purple one for short plugs. They look remarkably like the hyperspeed models. Or is it the other way around? I found out today that Jon Valentine does not use "wisolme" anymore, and the new is called "cox_hyper_speed". This from asking the vendor if Valentine had a website. The answer I recieved was from Jon himself. So all questions are answered. I don't believe he is going to sell anything outside an ebay bidding. He can expect to make more money that way. He did tell me to ask about what I should want.

I e-mailed him yesterday about "Turbo" plug head adapters. The reply came back in an hour or so, and he said the ones on offer were for regular plug types. He also said that he would be listing "turbo" plug head adapters later last night. Lo and behold this AM there is a listing for 049 051 adapters for "Turbo" style plugs. Search on seller cox_hyper_speed.

When he can reply with the postage to Canada I will order.
