Default Thunder Tiger 18GP available

I noticed the other day that the new GP-18 is available at www.thundertiger4u.com . Has anybody tried this one yet? It seems light (5.7 oz w/muffler), and might work well in a .12-.15 sized plane (eg RaineDave's new aerobatic plane...)

Any comments?

Brett

Yes I was told by Ace they had them and I hope I will have a batch in stock by next Tuesday. They have been promising these 18's for a long time. I am thinking of "Combo"ing them with the Heer 'Lil' Extra.

Wow - 3/4oz lighter than OSs .15. How is the quality with this TT .18?

For the TT .28, Tower lists the weight W/O muffler as 7.8 oz.; TT4U shows the same weight, but with muffler. Thunder Tiger Corporation lists the weight for the .18 at 5.72 oz. but doesn't indicate if the muffler is included -- I would have thought it would be with a muffler.

If skaliwag has one (or is expecting one), maybe he can get some weights for us, with and without muffler, when he is testing.

"Weight: 162.2 g. w/muffler / 5.72 oz."

Looks like it is?

Hey, that looks like it'd be a cool combo...I already have an Extra and an OS.15 for it in the line up...Rog

There was a very disappointing thread about the .28 -- turns out it weighed over 10 ounces. It was advertised as under 9. The buyer liked the engine, but at the higher-than-advertised weight, it was really nothing special. Jim
