RE: Let's see your doodle..
This could really be fun!
Your first one a basic Cub type give you a 5 on 0~9 scale.
Second one A Bobcat type OK, but the stab is illogical the largest chord farthest away from attachment point, one point off for that, I give it a 4.
Third I had a friend that bought an ultra lite that looked like this, Hawk something. When I was growing up Red Bank, NJ airport was a Mecca for Grumman See Bees looked like this also. I give you a six on this.
I'm a hard marker. I'll post something later today.

Skaliwag, I don't have a sketch handy but I have a tale to tell. I worked at a boat factory in high school that was founded by a drawing on a napkin. 2 beach bum acquaintances were talking about sail boat ideas at a bar, the bum with no money showed the bum who had some money the idea and they became partners. The boats are called Lazers, built by Performance Sailcraft.

Interesting cross between a Bolshoi Bal'tisky B and a Siemens-Schuckert R1. You've got a wishful amount of bombs........

Did you really just ask to see my doodle?!
It's amazing to me to see a rough drawing. It's not one of my skills. Anything I tried to do freehand would look like a crackhead tried to shoot up with a pencil.

Here's something I found in my sketch book. As you can see I also like to neatly label the parts.

Very nice Chuck. I see you even did colour schemes and typed up several paragraphs of notes.

I do still have some of my old plane sketches from my boyhood around though--most of them look like some evolution of a P-51C or P-40N.

I used to be a constant doodler, especially back in high school and college. I'm far from a natural artist, but the doodling process is fun and sometimes leads to ideas that can be re-doodled and refined into something cool.
BTW, it has always rubbed me the wrong way when I show a new design or bring something totally new out to the field and get comments that start with "That looks like a..." I know it's not meant to be hurtful, but it's almost like they're saying "Oh, you copied a..." That idea that started as a spark in your brain, then a doodle, then a plan, then scratch-buillt into a one-of-a-kind airplane has been suddenly been summed up and categorized with one offhand remark. Oh well, my usual response is "okaaay...."
Oh, and CP, you're sick man! But very creative
