Cox motor ID
Can someone tell me what motor I have? I think it is a medallion R/C but I can't tell if it is a .09 or .15. Here is a photo next to a Babe Bee.

RE: Cox motor ID
G-man,
I am pretty sure that the engine you have is a Medallion .15. I have both Medallion .09 and .15 engines (as well as an .049, of course). I tried lining them up in the same perspective as your picture, and the .15 seems to be the closest fit. Measuring the height of the .15 engine, it measures 2.75" from the bottom of the crankcase to the very top of the glow plug.
What is interesting is that your engine has an early Cox accessory throttle installed on it. It throttles the intake with a rotating spray bar in the venturi, and throttles the exaust as well with sliding cylinder type exhaust throttle.
Later throttled Medallions used a rotating exhaust ring type throttle only.
