Thanks
Thanks to Pt's rings,
and his good advice to not part out the old TD 049 I rebuilt the second of my old TD 049s last night. It was in worse shape do to being on the nose of an 049 Joy Stick. I had not even gotten good with a trainer yet in those days. I had to fly it any way and it was ALL I could do to keep it in the air for a full tank run. It saw several full face mud plants! So the plastic around the carb was very fractured almost spider webbed. But with a very good cleaning and one of PT's rings and a little dab of red high temp silicone its all good! Now to play with the reset tool and reassemble it should be great. So now what to put it on?....hmmm
P.S. The Sure Shark is about ready to cover. tank is in SS is on the nose, Servos are in just need to cover and install the reciever. I will post some finished pics before the maiden.

RE: Thanks
See, I go on vacation and miss out on good reports! Glad to hear the ring worked well for you. Now, what to put it on? One word: DELTA! Small and not too robust (A nice word for overbuilt). Just glue some sticks together CP style and go for broke... maybe not the best word to use, huh?

Oh yeah, scare 'em! In this video the Blink actually went out of range of a Hitec feather receiver, which was much further than factory specs. We walked about 1200' to the crash site.
