whatever the price will be, it too will "leave a mark'
Im suspecting NIB will be over the $100 mark

Wow, I think I only paid 50.00 when I bought them. I need servos for my Herr extra and a slinger they should cover that.

The question is, what is a .074 worth compared with a OS .10 or .15? The .074 is a nice engine to give some 1/2A designs extra punch without redesigning the plane. .074 owners need to be resourceful enough to keep the engines running with no factory support.
I think you can easily find .074s for about $70-100.

Everyone is pretty much in agreement that an OS .10 is
a great little engine.I open the exaust a bit and get real
increase on a 7X4.
Now if some of our machinist guys will design a new head
for turbo plugs we may find how strong they are.

Back on the topic, I have not seen a Norvel .074 NIB go for less than $100 on that flea market place. I think they are worth that also.

I think Andrew has already been there too. Gain was much less than on the smaller engines...

Yes, last spring I replaced the stock head on the OS .10 with a unit that took a custom made button that carried a turbo plug. The gain was about 500 RPM.

FYI, there are at least two (As of last night,...) .074 glow plugs on a certain Auction Site..
