RE: Has anybody built and flown a Lainer Dominator 200
I'm slowly working away on this kit.
For a 1/2A it's probably over built and may come out tail heavy with a Cox .049 .
I wouldn't have the eye sight or skill to try flying this with a Webra 1.8 Speedy.
You may want to do a trial CG balance before you install the motor. A slightly longer nose section may be better than adding lead to the nose! The picture shows how much room is left over if small servos are used.

Ive built a couple, I extended the nose 1.5" to get it to balance with a TD on it and no ballast.
Good wing, and it is fast.

RE: Has anybody built and flown a Lainer Dominator 200
I picked up one at a swap meet 2 years ago for $5.00 and just recently built it. I started out putting a 1 ounce tank, 55's servos. I ran into a lot of trouble with the wing servo and linkage. From where the servo is mounted in the wing and the way I installed it, I lost all the room inside the fuselage from the servo to the back of the wing. I didn't have enough room for a battery after that. I did install a motor servo and that took up the room where the battery would have gone. I pulled the gas stuff out and put an electric setup in. I test flew it last week and it flew great. It needed just a little nose weight to balance. It is fast but not as fast as I have flown with other planes.

Yep. Same as above. Cox, Norvel, tail heavy. Stretch the nose and your ok. Personally I like the 1/2A Shrike better. I think it's faster and just better all around. IMHO
