Default .15-size build thread

Should I do a build thread of my .15 SS here or in another forum? I'd like to respect the opinions of the folks in this forum.

Thanks,
David

I voted 'do what you want'. The worst that will happen is that a mod will move it (but I doubt that'd happen).

Y'know, I looked at that plan and said to myself "self, that looks a LOT like a scaled up SureShark/Ultra Sport/Kaos". Then I took a closer look at the name on the plan and gave myself a treat for guessing correctly. I predict it'll be a fine flyer.

RD, this year is about 3/4 over and how many completed build threads have there been so far? Please do it here, this forum needs more like it, too.

You're a regular here, do the build here..from what I've seen, you have some really great building skills, and I think the "crew" would agree...Rog

Go for it dude. I would be interested in reading about it. Sure, there will be some who don't agree, but so what, it's an open forum.

My vote is to build it here, but realistically you should do what you want. My only request is that you put in retracts & flaps - We never get to see that stuff here and with a .15 you have the "room" to do it. I assume you'll finish with koverall & dope? The wing ribs look slim - what profile are you using?

EG

PS - I've been planning to do a build thread of a slightly modified .15-sized Pacer starting next week (I'm having ankle surgery and will be on crutches through mid-October) so perhaps we'll have a couple build threads going at once!

Rog - You're right that it doesn't need them, but it adds to the cool factor. At least for me...

A racer? Off with the turtledeck! Trim down that vertical fin, it's huge! More nitro!

Go for it, build it here. IMHO by the terms of new 1/2A societies it might be too big, but in this forum I think we should be happy to accept anything .15 down. And there are common elements with these small models, new ideas can spawn from new designs.

Build it here, and make a sister thread in scratch building as well, that way it gets the scratch builders interested in 1/2A world and what's going on in this fourm, just put a link to or page.

Do it here. Most people here will be familiar with the original 1/2A SS. I think you would get more people following it here than in the scratch build/design forum. The rules seem to be pretty flexible as to what planes are 'allowed' here.

Build it here. .20 sized and smaller engines are treated as a red headed stepchild in all the other forums. A large light 1/2A is not much smaller, if any, than an nicely designed .15 powered plane.

Small engines, small planes - this is the forum for it.

David,

When will this plane be available? This will be a popular one!

I vote YES, DO IT HERE and can't WAIT to build my own...
