Hello,
I'm sorry, we had two groups of buyers come in and purchase all the engines that remained.
Thank you.

Dang.
Yeah, I bet we will see the Bay price shoot up now or not distant future.
Maybe when Cox sees the SureStart going for $35 from these guys
they will get the notion that maybe making small engines could work out ok.

Wow, kinda sad..Searches on the cox site now for: .049,Sure start, Or Engine turn up only a few big glow arf kits, And engine mount screws for the pt-19 and Viper. Even though the're just surestarts, I don't feel so silly now about telling all my relatives I wanted a few to stockpile last Christmas, lol

I've noticed 2 bay sellers lately with what seems to be enormous inventories of new Cox parts and price-inflated Surestarts for sale. One of them is selling the Comanche helis for $49.95 even though they were recently available from Cox for $15. I was considering buying another one. Guess I waited too long. Oh well, at least this stuff looks like it will still be available for purchase for a while, albeit at a higher price than before.

Well the sure starts are what is known as the bottom of the barrel,,that is to say you may get a screamer or a dud...what I hear is the same with the wasp but my experience with the wasp has been a good one , and with a throttle,,the TT.07 is a very reliable engine lacking some power...meaning it doesnt have the power of a norvel .074 but it starts and runs like an OS...depends on the plane you want to power....Rog

RE: Cox sure start availability
I've had fun with the little $7 engines. A little cleanup and piston/rod reset, and they've generally been good runners for me. I've also purchased a couple of good running "modded" surestarts that really perform well and it was nice to be able to buy the stockers so cheap for spare parts such as reed valves and gaskets. Just wish I had purchased more of them at that price. I'm a bit of a Cox fanatic so I've never had an AP or Thunder Tiger engine to compare them with.

I think if they'd seen the .010's and .020's going for $100 they would get everrything back up and running, but no one seems to care about the 1/2a market

It will be a bloody miracle if you ever see anything you want from Cox again, under the present ownership at least. It's like having that beautiful old mill or stonework town hall that's been there since whenever being sold to foreign developers and razed to the ground to make room for a condo or strip mall.
