It will simply have to be enough to see the nice pictures of it.
It really is a pretty gem!
I suppose none will ever be run much less be flown... Sad.

Assume that the number of only 70 of these engines being produced is accurate.
If so, what do you think O.S.'s actual cost per engine was to design, tool, produce, market and sell them?
Just something to think about...

The ad says "Only 70 engines were made for OS" not made by OS
Did they farm this out to someone else?
I'd be interested to see some performance figures on these. Will they outperform a Norvel? Just cos its shiny and rare, does't mean its actually any good

I read they were made for distributors, but the last one I saw went for about half of that one, I think is was $705 or close to that,,a few of us bombed the OS site but the mod BAX basically just told us to stop it,, have no idea how it runs...Rog

$1500 is probably the break even point...?
They could have made a small batch for testing that didn't show much promise from either a performance or marketing stand point and then pulled the plug on it.
Sounds better to just call it a limited edition collectible.

Sounds like a great group project for the Carolina Crew.
The most important thing to have with small twins is reliable engine kills. My twin bomber eventually "spun in" even though one of the .074s was at idle while the other was dead. I'm going to wire the carbs wide open and dedicate the throttle servos to pinch the fuel lines off.
I've got a larger twin .049 bipe that flies all day with just one Cox TD screaming away, but it has a huge [totally non scale] rudder to compensate.

Somewhere I have a in flight fuel adjustment valve, from when I was into ducted fan jets, I think sullivan or perry made it, just hook the servo to it and kill the fuel in an instant. I still have it sitting around here somewhere, all I remember is it was pretty easy to vary the amount of fuel from off to full flow, nice and handy to have when the os .91's tended to get hotter and hotter the more you layed into the throttle for longer periods of time.

2008's almost over and we haven't seen anything in the way of Toki based 1/2A projects yet. The suspense is almost too much to bear.
