An adequate sport engine... about the same power as a baby bee from Cox. Better sold in package on ebay and replaced with a current production 049 and pocket the surplus. In the package it is collectable... out it is just another old McCoy.

Some engine collectors with a passion for packaging might over pay for that, but I doubt the profit of flogging it at an auction site would be worth the time and trouble. I think you'd find much more enjoyment in taking it out, breaking it in, and flying it in period single channel plane. Afterall, that's what the hobby is really about isn't it?

I'd think that your McCoy would run as well as any early Baby Bee and certainly be stronger than my Wen Mac Mk II. Enjoy it.

One of these recently sold for $45.00 but with only 2 bids and the package was in a lot better shape. There is also another up right now with opening asking bid of $50.00. No bids as yet.

Item number on the one that sold is 370263747903.

The red heads apparently command a higher price than a non red head but we all know there is no difference in performance. It does display better.

They wear out quicker then a Cox. I found in the past that they ran good, a little more power the a baby bee. The spring starter does not last too long. The red version was the last version, maybe. I remember the glow plug was interchangeable with the Cox engies. The mount fitted in with ether the baby bee or the td not sure which.

As above in the bubble package it is worth a lot. If it was mine I would run it; not cost efferent, but it is a hobby after all.
