Vogt Exhaust Restrictor Throttle
Here attached is the original 2 piece Carl Vogt Exhaust Restrictor Throttle from American Modeller June 1967.
It is/was used on Cox engines that had a flanged cylinder but will work as well on straight cylinders. A small lathe is required.
Hope this helps.

It was later reprinted in American Modeller with that same drawing I'm sure.

I know that this picture is kind of an unspecific angle which leaves quite a bit to be desired but do you guys think this is one?
Thinking about picking this up, any of you guys know how these work compared to the Cox/Ace R/C ones?

Proes restrictor
Hi Prole,
It looks like some one else's version of the Vogt unit.
The heavy spring makes me think it is manually adjustable only & not servo operated.
Try it & let us know.

I think that heavy clip is to hold the two halves together, the looped wire in the lower right is for servo/throttle operation.
Looks simple enough, and better idle than a carb (no flame-outs).
