Scoundrel invasion!
Two: Millsky powered ( Russian Mills ) and cat food powered...
I made a 1/2 oz tank for the Millsky and it swings the 8x4 at a bit more than 8,000 rpm.
All I have is the wing so far.. Still needs the cap strips..

RE: Scoundrel invasion!
I know in my case I switched over to 50~100cc gassers for the last two years, but I love the little one on this forum, though I might be leaning to electric for this small stuff. But I'm confused anyway, I'm a sailplaner at heart, that loves engines, and little balsawood planes.[sm=bananahead.gif]

I'm thinking about using the Trexlers on it....
Haven't decided if I'm going to put any paint or color on it or not.

I already did what the drawing called for.... The only way to change it now is to saw the wing in half. I can always do that later....
How much did you use?

I took Steve Staples advice and cut the wing in half and aded 1" of diheadral or a total of 3 1/2" under one wing tip.
I used a little 1/4 oz cloth to add strength to the redone joint...
I think it looks better.

Covered the wing and the tail and added some black...... Learned some things about covering with Doculam. You need to be carefull of overshrinking it on the tail surfaces. I had to try 3 times on the horiz. stab. to get the Doculam hinge right.
5 oz as it sits. Should come out less than 10.5 oz or so

Very nice! Mine's a porker by comparison at around 14oz. Unlike Little Rock's, mine came out tail heavy balancing behind the spar. I flew it like that but didn't like the way it behaved so I added lead to the nose to try to tame it a bit. Unfortuneately, I haven't had a chance to fly it since then.

Finished this one - only took me a few years. Going to fly it this morning! 10.75 OZ AUW with 220nmih pack. Skaliwag is going to come along to see one of his little birds take to the sky - hopefuly...
