Keep it or....?
Is this worth selling? I looked on the bay and found nothing. It is in great shape and seems like it has never run. I always kept it oiled and clean without using harsh cleaning agents. Just mainly to keep the dust and rust off. It is an atwood .049. I have had it for years and kept it as a conversation piece. Something tells me it would fetch a few bucks. Any guesses as to what it is worth?

That thing is WAY cool. Personnally, I'd NEVER sell it.
I would build some kind of bass / mahogani wood oldie looking speedboat and mount it on it. Next, I woud run it once or twice (Video to be posted here) then put it on the shelf and admire / occasionally run for the next 40 years [8D]

OMG! Just what I am looking for! I just built a boat that was designed around that particular engine. Nothing to be found at the time of completion, so I re-engineerd the design to an airboat. Darn it! Oh well, maybe one day I'll get around to finding one and build another boat, as it was a very easy build. I will look for pics and post them. Only major change was the sponsons.

Me? I would rather keep it. I wish I had that one as a conversation piece! Cool factor out weighs the price factor better than 2:1 in my book.l

Sound advice.!

The Atwood boat motors don't seem to show up on the 'bay as often as the K&B Allyn motors.
Out of curiosity, I've been keeping tabs on these 1950's inboards and outboards, because I have a K&B Allyn outboard twin.
I've seen the single cyl. outboards go from a bit over a hundred, to over 200...(the twins can go for about double that )
The market has softened some in the past couple of years, but things seem to be picking up a little lately.
Yours looks to be in really nice condition Mugen...[8D]

RE: Keep it or....?
Thanks guy's. It is indeed in very nice shape. Like I said....I kept it up for many years but have yet to fire it up. I know it will fire up with no trouble since most of my .049's do and thins one is a bit more snug than they are. I may build some little boat for it in the future. My kids may like it for a future conversation piece of their own someday. Nothing would be more fun than running it in an old mahogany boat like stated above. Good call. I can see the hull in my mind....just to make it come to life now.
Thanks for all the input!
