Foam Chuck-Glider Price Alert!
My local Michael's Floral & Craft store is selling the larger foam chuck gliders on closeout for $2. These are the Comet/Guillows ones with the swept wings, unfortunately. (I find the straight wing versions at K-Mart for $3 in the summertime, called the "Ultra Flyer" perhaps?). The swept wing ones can be squared off at the root and used for all sorts of goofy experimental stuff. Buy 2 and make a DeHavilland Dragonfly bipe!
Speaking of Dragonflys, I "bashed" one of these foam jobbies years ago using a Cox Dragonfly .049 and it was a really good flyer using R-E-M control. Lots of strapping tape to control wing flex!
