VA .049 MK1 Crank

Gday Fellas, taking a long shot here but does anyone have a crank from a VA .049 mk1 spare, or an old worn out or broken engine that I could cannibalise some parts off. I'd like so resurrect my .049 to running condition as its currently got a broken crank. Happy to reimburse anyone some money for the bits and postage to Aus.

Thanks

Joel

I suspect that Larry Driskill would be the guy to talk to for a VA crank-he imported them and competed with VA engines and helped me about 10 years ago.

VA Mk1s or Mk2s Dave?-I thought Dirty Dan Rutherford handled the Mk1s..............I expect by now spare VA Mk1 cranks are very thin on the ground.............more than a decade on, and given that they seemed to break fairly frequently........

I thought he sold the Mk1's too.... Maybe he'll pop in and reply? doesn't hurt to look him up and ask, look under "kitting it together" in a Google search.

I have several MKI VA's and I think one parts engine.

I can have a look and get back to you... just email me directly at [email protected] and ask/remind me

This is my first visit to the RCU 1/2A pages in ages.. life has gotten in the way of modeling the past several years (marriage, children and moving have a tendancy to do that!) but I still have a whole lot of engines and parts... just not doing much with them lately but keep em' in storage.

Thanks for that AJC, I shot you across an email. If it pans out I'll be stoked as I feel like an idiot for snapping the crank in this one and really would like to have it going again.
