Need Help finding 60's Airplane Plan

2 Attachment(s)
If any of you flew single channel planes in the 60’s like I did you might be able to help me with this. I’m looking for the plans or a copy of the plans for an “AERO 7” and AERO 9” airplane. I had both of these planes back then along with the .010/.020 size “AERO LARK”. I still have the Lark plans, but the others are long gone. I’m sure I gave them away. The Lark has a swept back wing (see attached photo), but the 7 and 9 had a mostly straight tapered wing and looked a lot like the Mambo high wings. I don’t remember what happened to my 7, but I lost an almost new Cox .09 on the AERO 9 along with the plane. It about made me cry ! It got way down wind on me at my flying site, and when I got to the area where it was, a group of kids all said they saw it,but no one knew where it went in the housing area next to the field. I looked for days, but never found it and feel sure that some kid had it tucked away neatly in his house by then. I always missed that plane since then and would like to build another one now in my "Old Age" to fly. I have recently bought an almost new Cox .09 for the project. If anyone has plans for these planes they could lend me or sell me, please let me, know. I have included a photo of the LARK plans and company address to go by to jog anyone’s memory of the kit. Sorry for being long winded,
Bill

Model Aviation plans: http://www.modelaircraft.org/files/A.pdf

See PDF Page 7:

Aero 7 - $13
Aero 9 - $14

BTW, I have the Aero Sport kit same manufacturer, odd 48" wingspan swept wing cabin for .09 - .15 engine, plan for a future build. :D

Thank you GallopingGhostler, I never even thought of looking there. I didn't know that they carried manufacturer plans long gone and not issued in their magazine. I'll call and order the plans tomorrow. Looking forward to your build of the Aero Sport. By the way, when I was very young, I got the first magazine that showed and explained how the Galloping Ghost setup was done. I drooled over that issue and knew it would be a long time before I could have one.
Thanks again, Bill

You're welcome, Bill. Actually what happened is that John Pond plans was acquired or given to AMA by the Pond family, when John passed away. He had accumulated many legacy plans, which have been merged with the Model Aviation plans archives. I don't know when exactly that happened as I had purchased plans from John Pond in the 1990's. I think it occurred in the early 2000's. It's taken some time for the AMA library staff to be able catalogue all these and get set up to reproduce them.

The Aero Lark is a smaller version of the Aero Sport.

Anyway, enjoy!

Sorry to reply so late, but I ordered from AMA. Super nice guy at the plans service got my plan in the mail quick and I received it just fine. I was surprised to see it rolled up and not folded. A nice touch. I will be ordering from AMA again.
Thanks for the help.
Bill

Glad to see, Bill that AMA provides top rate plans service. It's been a while since I last purchased plans from them, but have a few I'd like to get that they have.
