Hobby Shack's SST ARF

A friend of mine has carried a torch for the .049 size SST (super sport trainer) for years. He liked it so much he built the .40 size version too. He even has had the plans blown up to giant scale size. I programmed in the specifications into realflight and had a ball flying it.
Has any one flown the current .09 size ARF offered by Hobby Shack?

I have the original issue of RCM that the 049 size SST was a construction article in. I remember it was in 1977 and there is a beautifull girl on the cover (boy the RCM's had nice covers back in my teen years!) holding the plane.

By the article and test flying it was a great plane and I still would love to build one. RCM had a ton of great 1/2A planes back in the 70s' and 80's like the RCM Scooter, the Hornet, etc that I built as a teen. If you want I can scan the article and email you it.

Teen in the 70s

The sound of youth... I wish I was a teen in the 70s. I wish I was into RC in the 70s. I thought this hobby was for us old guys. The pictures looked good in the old days but the radios weren't quite so goood. The airplanes had to fly better because we couldn't exert as much control. These must be the good old days.

Actually, I wasnt a teen untill 1983 when I turned 13 yrs old...

These ARE good days for modelling, but so were the last 50 or so from everything and everyone I have talked to and read.
