Cox and Grish did make a few reverse pitch props , but for a reedie just put the prop on backwards and run the engine clockwise.

Just turn your prop around - the Sure Start runs equally well in both directions, but you may get some galling or increased wear on the nose of the case in a pusher configuration. Add a couple of drops of fuel or light oil to the juncture between the case nose and thrust washer before starting - there may be enough blowby to keep it lubed while running. If you're seeing a lot of dark oil buildup behind the thrust washer, you may need to add a thin steel, brass or PTFE washer. If it's too tight, you can always file the nose slightly to get enough clearance then polish with some 400 grit with oil on glass.

Some of the Sure Starts have brass drive plates. These were for pusher use.
