Thank you Karolh and others for this suggestion. I had not considred this option. I like the 8UHFS TX, it has served me well so far and I'd be happy to keep, granted I can feel confident it won't let me down suddenly while in flight.

So, you guys feel it is worth putting more money into trying to maintain this 10-year old TX? At what point do you decide/recommend replacement?
