Here is what has to be done for the main gear. I took the main gear plate and marked of 1/8" all the way around. Both the plate and the vertical part of the rib. Here is a pic before and after. You do have to make a opening on the skin and next inboard rib for the scissors so the wheel can moved all the way in...The gear drops in pretty nicely and easily. I did have to remove a 1/4" instead of the 1/8 " at the bottom of the rib where the air cylinder is...
