If I went to the 56LX, I'd want a full wave tuned pipe on it anyway now that I think about it.

IMHO there's no need for a long pipe with Jett engines. The tuned muffler is the ''optimal'' option if you consider full pipe weight & install. The engines run pretty well on the tuned muffler.
I'd like to know the weight difference between a full-wave pipe and header vs. the jett stream and what the power gains are between the two. The nice thing with a full-wave pipe is you can tune the length to dial in max power whereas with a 1/4 wave muffler, you don't have any adjustability. That is, AFAIK. Since this engine would go on a boat and not a plane, I wouldn't have the "unloading" characteristic that planes have so I think a full-wave may be better to make up the lost RPMs... Maybe I'm overthinking this..
