RE: Airfoilz Edge 540NX Powertrain
Thx Paul, and I'm getting ready to order either the kit or combo. I was just doing a small poll here to see what others thought of the listed combo motor & esc, vs possibly some other options.
Here's a question: your combo includes the BP A2810-11 motor. You also include an APC 10x5E prop. But quoting from the BP website, about the motor: "Manufacturer recommends a 11x5.5 prop on 3-cells" ...so I was wondering why the choice of the 10x5?
From the same motor chart, the 11x5.5E on the 2810-11 is: 10.6V, 26A, 42oz thrust, 283W, at 7900rpm.
Again, coming from nitro, I know zip about the electrics but that sounds strong to me!
Anyhooo- there are tons of motor/esc/prop combinations out there, from cheapo to very expensive. About $50 for a good motor & esc seems resonable to me, if it'll haul the plane with authority.
I was just curious what some others were using.
