Default RE: Convert NiMH Tamiya to Deans?

ORIGINAL: Jhawk19

On the Caldera 10E, the truck uses a Tamiya plug and so does the NiMH battery. I've already purchased two LiPo's that have Dean's Connectors.

Can I convert the NiMH battery and the Caldera 10E to Dean's?

Is the NiMH Battery junk if I can't convert it?
just go on ebay or a hobby shop and buy a female/male deans connector pack to put onto the nimh pack and the truck.
batteries take the female, ESC takes the male.
you can also find them with wire already attached, so you can just splice the wires together.
on the battery, do one wire at a time. dont cut both wires at the same time as you could short the battery.
deans are just a higher-grade connector than the tamiya.
