I've just read on here that the Tamiya is not a good connector for LiPo's b/c it doesn't allow for the transfer of power that the LiPo's require.
Yes deans will take more current then tamiyas. They have more meat (metal to metal) and use different case material. We have both if you want them let us know.
You will need to solder them.
What gauge wires are on the lipo's you bought ?
