RE: Favorite Shops and Stores
I use to travel by childersburg alot when I went to and from Auburn from Birmingham. I would say the closest hobby shop that is near where you live is in the Alabaster area up toward Birmingham. Its called Oak Mountain Hobbies. It used to be an evenly distributed hobby shop but the new owners are now more train finatics. They still have quite a big selection of airplanes and parts and helicopters cars though. If you go even more north there is another hobby shop in Homewood called "homewood toy and hobby" They have a lot of airplane and helicopter merchandise as well. I am closest to homewood toy and hobby and know a lot of the guys that work in there. They are friendly and would be able to help you pick out everything you need or help you with problems you might have. There is another hobby town usa in the auburn area which was another hobby shop that I used to go to alot when I was down there. I cant think of any more shops inbetween that is closer to where you live though.
